Statement of Faith
Learn about the core beliefs that guide our faith and practice at NBCFC.
The Scriptures
The Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are the inspired, infallible revelation of God to man and the authority of faith and Godly conduct.
The Trinity
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man.
Salvation
Mankind was spiritually separated from God because of sin. God does not wish that any should perish, but that all should repent. Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ alone and not by works.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two ordinances – Baptism in water and Communion – to be observed as acts of obedience and as perpetual witnesses to the cardinal facts of the Christian faith.
Church and Authority
We believe in the principle of being in authority because you are under authority. As such, it is understood that membership shall be subject to submission to authority in matters pertaining to church governance, doctrine, and personal behavior.
The Church is the representative of Jesus on earth and is to carry out the Great Commission. The Church is a body of believers brought together by the Holy Spirit as a visible part of His church and the one body of Christ.
Divine Healing
We believe that divine healing was provided for in the Old and New Testament and is an integral part of the Gospel.
Heaven
We believe heaven is the dwelling place for those who believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ and have passed from this life. Everyone who has trusted in the finished work of Christ will live with Him forever.
Marriage
We believe God has ordained that marriage be between one man and one woman, as clearly conveyed in God’s inerrant Scriptures. We believe in heterosexual relationships between a natural man and a natural woman within the confines of lawful matrimony.
The Great Commission
We believe in obeying the statement made by Jesus found in Matthew 28, verses 19-20, which is "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations".
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, empowering and equipping believers for service, with the accompanying supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit; and in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. We believe in the divinely ordained ministries of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher.
